Lena Basile

Lena Caparelli Basile, age 88, of Marietta, GA passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2015. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marietta with Monsignor John Walsh officiating. Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton at 12:30 p.m. A native of New York, Mrs. Basile retired from the Fox Hospital in Oneonta, NY. She moved to the Fayetteville, GA area where she worked at the Fayette Medical Center prior to moving to Marietta. Mrs. Basile was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marietta. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank J. Basile Sr. and two brothers, John and Joseph Caparelli. Mrs. Basile is survived by her sons, Frank J. Basile, Jr. and wife, Stephanie of Locust Grove and Thomas A. Basile and his wife Ellen of Alpharetta; Daughters, Patricia Basile Jones of Powder Springs and Diane Basile of Marietta; Sister, Theresa Caparelli Mancini of Cedarhurst, NY; 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. in Marietta.
