Lella Maxine Roach Williams, age 77, of Lexington, NC passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2013. Funeral Services will be held 2pm on Monday, February 18, 2013 in the chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, GA with Rev. Robert Wardlaw officiating. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Cemetery in Atlanta.
A native of Chattanooga, TN, Mrs. Williams had lived in the Atlanta area for most of her life before moving to Lexington, NC 6 years ago. She was of the Baptist faith, and was a homemaker. She was previously employed at the Borden Biscuit Company in Atlanta, and Tip-Top Poultry in Marietta. She also had attended West Fulton High School.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert L. and Lillian Roach; sister, Ethel Gilleland; 2 brothers, Herbert L. Roach, Jr and Rev. C.L. Roach; granddaughter, Colleen Caitlan Walker.
She is survived by her husband, Max Williams of Lexington, NC; 2 daughters, Debbie Cote of Melbourne, FL and Kelly (Ray) Fisher of Conyers, GA; 2 sons, Chuck (Patricia) Williams of Lexington, NC and Neil Williams of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Todd and Lindsay Cote, Erica Lovering, Cathryn Walker, Curtis Wells, Stacy O'Brien; 2 great grandchildren, Lillian Kendall Lovering and James Walker Lovering.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 12 noon until 2pm at the funeral home.
