Lavert Bryant

Lavert Y. Bryant, age 88, of Powder Springs, Georgia passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2022. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at McEachern Memorial United Methodist Church in Powder Springs with Chaplain Jud Henley officiating. Interment will follow at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park in Marietta.

Born in Tuskegee, AL, Mr. Bryant graduated from Clift High School in 1951. He attended the University of Alabama before joining the United States Air Force, where he served from 1952 until 1958. He then joined the Alabama Air National Guard in October of 1958 until his retirement in 1989 with the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. Afterwards, he operated his own accounting business. Mr. Bryant was also an avid Alabama football fan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Peek Bryant, in 2011.

Survivors include: Daughter, Sandy B. (Thomas) McLain, Lexington, KY; Son, Kenneth L. (Zandra) Bryant, Powder Springs, GA; 5 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 6, 2022 from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm prior to the ceremony at McEachern Memorial United Methodist Church in Powder Springs. Online guest book at www.westcobbfuneralhome.com .
