Kenneth Huff passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday January 6th, 2025. Ken was born September 24th, 1961 in New Jersey. His family moved to Georgia in 1962 where he grew up in Marietta and graduated from Osborne High School in 1979. After high school, Ken went to college at Troy State University and earned a degree in history. He taught a year of high school, but most of his career he was in the restaurant industry, working as a waiter, bartender and manager. He loved to tell jokes and stories. He was a music aficionado, beer connoisseur, and a history buff. He played the tuba in high school and also at Troy State. He was a member of Southwind Drum and Bugle Corps playing contra bass bugle in 1981 and 1982. He was a founding member of the Atlanta CorpsVets Senior Drum and Bugle Corps (now Atlanta CV) where he was a contra player, contra section leader, tour director, board member, social chairman, and assistant to the director. He was an avid drum corps fan, and supporter of Southwind, and particularly, of Atlanta CV.
Ken was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Ray Huff.
Ken is survived by his mother, Carol A. Huff, uncle William O’Keefe and cousin Audrey O’Keefe, and a host of friends who loved him.
Visitation will be held 3 to 4 pm Saturday, January 25, 2025, at the West Cobb Funeral Home, 2480 Macland Rd, Marietta. Funeral service will follow 4 to 5 pm.
