Kenneth Wayne Aiken, 65, passed peacefully on February 8, 2023 after a brief battle with cancer. Kenneth was born August 22, 1957, to Reba Seals Aiken and William Asbury Aiken. He was born and raised in Douglasville, Georgia, and graduated from Douglas County High School in 1976. Kenneth followed in his father's footsteps and started driving freight trucks. He was a truck driver for 42 years before he retired in November of 2022. Kenneth married the love of his life, Lynn Boling Aiken, in 2005. He welcomed his bonus children, Miranda and Tyler into his family. Kenneth was a handy man in his own right. He could fix anything that quit working. He loved the outdoors and being outside, anything that involved the sunshine. The beach was one of his favorite places to unwind, if he wasn't working on projects back home, or tinkering with his cars. One of his favorite things to do was to let grandson William ride in his lap on the lawnmower, or to hook William's wagon up to the lawnmower and let him ride in style.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Jimmy Aiken; and a sister, Diane Aiken. He is survived by his wife of almost 18 years, Lynn; his children, Miranda Brewer and Tyler Brewer (Alicia); his grandson, William Brewer; his sister, Yvonne Thurman-Hammond (David); a niece, a nephew, cousins, and friends.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 12, 2023, at West Cobb Funeral Home & Crematory in Marietta, Georgia from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. A graveside service will follow at Georgia Memorial Park in Marietta, Georgia.
