Sister Kathy Elaine Nelson was born October 7, 1956 in Cobb County to the late Lillie Jeanne McAfee Looney and Willie Joseph Halton.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and friend. On November 1, 2014, Mrs. Nelson was called to come home and be with the Lord.
She leaves to cherish her memory a loving husband, Odell Nelson, Jr.; son, Reginald Nelson; daughter, Brittany Nelson; sisters: Linda Stevenson and Katrita Willson; 8 grandchildren; special cousin, Ann Philpot and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 11 am in the Chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory, Marietta with Rev. Hugh Byrd officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
