Kathleen Leonia Peppers

Kathleen L. Peppers, 94, passed peacefully into Heaven on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, with her family by her side. Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, April 16, 2023 at 2:00pm with a Memorial Service to follow at 3:00pm., both at the West Cobb Funeral Home, 2480 Macland Road, Marietta, GA 30064.
Kathleen was born to Dora and Ben Edge in Muscogee County, Georgia, the fourth of five siblings. The family eventually ended up in Rome, Georgia where she met and married the love of her life, Donald Benjamin Peppers, on February 15, 1947. They lived together in Michigan for the first 18 years of marriage, then permanently moved to Marietta, Georgia. They were happily married for 56 years until his death in 2002.
Kathleen was a kind and gentle soul. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading, and playing cards. She especially loved being surrounded by family and participating in all of their many activities and adventures. Kathleen was very creative, a trait that served her well in her work as a floral designer at Owens Flower Shop, where she “played in the flowers” for 45 years before retiring at age 84. She lived a Christian life and was a faithful member of Macland Baptist Church.
She is survived by her three children and their spouses, Steve (Ilene), Hiawassee, GA; Pam (Harold), Marietta, GA; Jeff (Donna), Powder Springs, GA; six grandchildren, Tonya, Ben, Bryan, Sarah, Ian, and Abbey; and seven great-grandchildren, Bennett, Blake, Brooks, Kinsley, Bailey, Lennox and Shea.
