June Shearon Long, age 73, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2021. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Rev. Bill Rorie officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Douglasville, Georgia.
A native of Atlanta, Mrs. Long graduated from O'Keefe High School. She moved to Cobb County in 1972, then to Villa Rica in 1993. She owned and operated a florist, Powder Springs Nature Garden for 10 years and enjoyed cake decorating, cooking, trail riding, camping, boating, shopping and talking with family and friends.
Survivors include: Husband of 52 years, Richard Allen Long, Sr.; 4 Children, Justine (John) Russell, Winston, GA, Deborah Thornburg, Dallas, GA, Richard Allen Long, Jr., Winston, GA and Michelle (William) Davidson, Franklin, GA; 4 Brothers, 1 Sister, 8 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Grandchild.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta. Online guest book at www.westcobbfuneralhome.com .
