Judy Jesse Kelley

Judy Jesse Kelley, age 78, of Marietta, Georgia passed away Saturday, November 16, 2024. A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 pm on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, Georgia with Rev. Pam McCurdy and Pastor Ralph Thompson officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 21, 2024 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. The burial of her cremated remains will be scheduled at a later date.

A native of Talking Rock, GA, Ms. Kelley graduated from Ellijay High School in 1964. Afterwards, she moved to Marietta, GA and began attending West Georgia College where she obtained her Master's Degree in Education. She worked for the Cobb County School System for decades at Wheeler High School, Campbell High School, and her longest tenure was at R.L. Osborne High School where she taught Science and Chemistry.

Outside of her career as an Educator, Ms. Kelley was also a Master Gardener, and was an accomplished in painting and drawing. She enjoyed building things out of wood, going to estate sales, photography, and teaching kid's camps at Kennesaw State University. She was a longtime and very active member of Bethany United Methodist Church in Smyrna.

Survivors include: Sister, Jerrie Marie Crump, Marietta, GA; Nephew, Britt Crump, Marietta, GA; Great Nieces, Kayla Crump Powell and Kelsey Crump; Great Nephew, Kyle Crump; Great-Great Nephew, Will Powell; Great-Great Niece, Jessi Powell.
