Judith J. Cagle Blum, also known as “JJ,” passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2015 after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Chattanooga, TN and then moved with her family to Marietta, GA where she grew up. Her only son Kurt was born in 1960 and they relocated to central Florida in 1965 where she began a career as a manager of a hair salon and then also a manager of an apartment complex where she worked together with her husband, Robert J. Blum. They shared a love of boating, the beach and being with family and friends. JJ also loved interior decorating and was exceptional at making her home look beautiful.
JJ moved back to her home in Marietta with her husband to be close to her son when Robert was diagnosed with ALS. Shortly before his passing, JJ was diagnosed with cancer. She battled 4 cancers with courage, strength and dignity and made many friends during this hard time. Her cherished dog Precious was a source of comfort and provided her with much happiness during the hardest times.
JJ was an avid dog lover and a good friend. She will be sorely missed.
She was survived by her son, Kurt Culver and his wife, Elizabeth Culver, two sisters, Jerri Harris and Vickie Sharbel, 3 grandchildren, Daniel Casteel, Chrissy Culver and LeighAnn Culver and 4 great grandchildren, Charity Casteel, Caleb Casteel, Carlee Casteel and Canaan Casteel.

A Graveside Service will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.
