Joyce Dean Thackston, age 78, of Marietta, Georgia passed away Sunday, February 24, 2019. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Rev. Steve Clayton officiating. Interment will follow at Kemp Cemetery in Marietta.
A lifelong resident of Marietta, Mrs. Thackston was a homemaker, and loved taking care of her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Thackston, Jr. in 2017.
Survivors include: 2 Daughters, Debbie (Kenneth) Dunn, Woodstock, GA and Connie (Chuck) Clayton, Dallas, GA; Sister, JoAnn Clark, Yorkville, GA; 5 Step Children, Era Mae Hefner, Marietta, GA, Linda Bates, Kennesaw, GA, Wanda (Bobby) Norton, Canton, GA, Billy Thackston, Acworth and Sherry Paul, Marietta, GA; 5 Grandchildren, Scott and Shannon Dunn, Cumming, GA, Timothy Dunn, Woodstock, GA, Stephen Clayton, Acworth, GA, Zachary Dunn, Woodstock, GA and Jennifer and Jim Anderson, Dallas, GA; 3 Great Grandchildren, Addison Dunn, Joseph Dunn and Jameson Anderson, and many Step Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
