Josephine M. Post

Josephine Mary Post, age 98, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on February 4, 2024. Josephine was born in Paterson, NJ to Gloriano and Mary Di Iorio.

Josephine was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She married Charles D. Post in 1947. They had 3 children and moved to Florida in 1961. Josephine took great pleasure in her career as a corporate bookkeeper.  She was a very social, fun loving and caring person.  She established many close relationships, with many of them lifelong.  She was devoted to her family and was a wonderful homemaker and terrific cook. Family activities were a highlight in her life, and she was a gracious hostess to all who visited.  Josephine will always be remembered for her joyous laugh. 

Josephine moved to Marietta in 2014 and became a resident of Winnwood Retirement Community, where she continued to enjoy life to the fullest.  She made many new friends and took full advantage of the activities organized there. She will be remembered as a fierce card player, Ambassador, and a dear friend to many. 

Josephine was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years and her oldest son, Charles George Post. She is survived by her sister, Gloria Martino, her son, Stuart Post (Yannick), her daughter, Pamela Lindenberger (Ron), her grandchildren Leiane Roche (Matt), Lauren Lindenberger, Stephanie Willman (Kameron), Chaz Post (Taylor), and her great-grandchildren (Caroline, Emersyn, Colton, Monroe, Verity and August Willman).

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Winnwood Retirement Community, Sullivan building, Club Room, 100 Whitlock Avenue, Marietta GA 30064. Please join us at 2p for an afternoon tea.
