Joseph Albert Mojica, 83, of Marietta, formerly of Sarasota, FL, passed away on September 16, 2012. A public memorial service will be held at 1pm on Friday, September 28, 2012, at Brookstone Country Club, 5705 Brookstone Drive, Acworth, GA 30101, with Pastor Rusty Womack officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service until 3pm. Mr. Mojica retired from Delta where he worked as a senior facility engineer. He then was the founding owner of Northwest Contractor, Inc. in Chicago, IL. He served in the United States Army as a 1st Lieutenant during the Korean War and was awarded a bronze star. He was a member of Lost Mountain Baptist Church. Mr. Mojica was an avid golfer and a member of Brookstone Country Club. He also held memberships at the Masonic Lodge in Hapeville, GA and the Sahib Shrine Temple in Sarasota, FL. Survivors include his wife, Jane Mojica; 7 children; 1 sister; 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
