Johnnie Lee Coons

Johnnie Lee Coons, Sr., age 78, of Kennesaw, GA, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 7pm on Thursday, March 7, 2013, in the Chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory, 2480 Macland Road in Marietta with Pastor Steven Shearod officiating.



The family will receive friends at Anderson Funeral Home, 201 Sanford Street, New Brunswick, NJ, on Tuesday, March 12, 2013, from 9am-11am with a funeral service beginning at 11am. Interment will follow at Washington Monumental Cemetery in South River, NJ.



There will be a reception and celebration of life service for Mr. Coons immediately following the burial at Everlasting Ministries, 241 Second Street, South Anvoy, NJ.



Born in Macon, GA, Mr. Coons lived most of his life in New Jersey before moving to Kennesaw, GA, two years ago. He retired from D’Amico Lincoln-Mercury where he was employed as an auto detailer for 33 years. Mr. Coons was a member of Cathedral International Church in Kennesaw, GA.



Mr. Coons was preceded in death by his wife, Minnie Jewel Payne Coons in 2001.



Survivors include his children, Bertha Mae Coons, Johnnie L. Coons, Jr., Joanne Coons, Wendy Anita Coons, Cynthia Elizabeth Corticeiro, Stephanie Annette Regoita, Ebony Monique Hill and Constance Unethia Hill; brother, Esaw (Ruby) Coons; sister-in-law, Rosa Lee Coons; 23 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.



Memorial Contributions can be made to Cathedral International Church, 5150 Stilesboro Road, Kennesaw, GA 30152.
