Retired MSG John Wheeler

Ret. MSG John Steven Wheeler, 62, of Smyrna, GA passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2017. A memorial service will be held 3pm Sunday, January 22, 2017 in the Chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, GA, with a reception following from 4pm until 5pm. Inurnment will be held 12 noon, Monday, January 23, 2017 at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton with full military honors. Mr. Wheeler was a retired Master Sergeant with the United States Army and was employed with Life University as the Grounds and Custodial Director. Mr. Wheeler was preceded in death by his parents, John J Wheeler and Josephine Erceg and brother, Ronald Gene Wheeler. He is survived by his spouse, David Saitta; Siblings: Richard Wheeler (Rose), Deborah Wheeler Michel (Daniel), Tony Erceg (Julie), Mark Erceg (Helen), Angel Erceg Harper (fiancée, Scott), John Erceg (Margaret), Tom Erceg, Yvonne Erceg , Greg Erceg (Jan), sister in law Virginia Wheeler and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends, Saturday, January 21, 2017 from 6pm until 8pm, and Sunday January 22, 2017 from 2pm until 3pm at the funeral home.
