John Patrick Wernowsky, age 51, and his son, Jake Christopher Wernowsky, age 10, entered the gates of heaven on Friday, May 27, 2016. Funeral Services will be held at 10am on Saturday, June 4th at North Metro Church in Marietta, GA with Rev. Gregg Sizemore, Rev. Aaron Gable, Julie Wilson and Kole Wernowsky officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening, June 3rd at the church from 5pm until 8pm.

Born in Kansas but lived in Germany for 9 years as well as many states, Mr. Wernowsky moved the family to Acworth, GA 10 years ago from California to be near his oldest son Kole. He is the co-owner of Inlife Business Development Group, a sales and marketing company focusing on health products. John is also a recent co-owner of a new venture in downtown Acworth called Suite Executive Station. His vision for luxury high tech offices and rentable conference rooms with vintage industrial charm. John shared his life with many people, charities, and communities. Included in his various activities and organizations he supported were: CLC (Christian Leadership Concepts), coaching Harrison Hoya Lacrosse and Crossfire Lacrosse, and supporting the Tim Tebow Foundation, Life without Limbs, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Wellspring, The Navigators, Must Ministries and a host of others. He poured his life into his family, his children’s sports, and his work. His generosity was huge and endless. His adoration for his family was inspiring. John always held himself and others to high standards, giving 100% in everything he did and expected the same from others. John loved the New York Jets, Atlanta Falcons, and the Seattle Seahawks. He was full of wit, humor, a bit of sarcasm and lots of practical jokes. But, he was PASSIONATE about being a “Fisher of Men”. He secretly loved the music of Rick Springfield and claims Sam Hunt as “his discovery”. John was proud to admit to watching romantic movies with his wife Debbie, cheesy movies with his daughter Makenna and superhero movies with his boys Kole and Jake. He was so proud of his children and boasted about them all the time. John is also survived by 2 children, Kole Chandler Wernowsky and Makenna Raye Wernowsky; parents, Charles and Marita Wernowsky; 2 brothers, Mark Wernowsky and Steven Wernowsky.

Born in Mission Viejo, California, Jake attended Midway Covenant Christian School. He enjoyed playing lacrosse for the Harrison Hoya junior program and Crossfire Lacrosse, and basketball for HYBA. Jake was a master of wit, always wore a smile that lit up a room. He was a peacemaker with a sweet, compassionate and unending heart. He loved collecting license plates building LEGOS and watching dude perfect. He was always drawing and making smiley faces, wore a constant “chocolate mustache”, and gave the BEST hugs in the world. He loved his family so much and repeatedly reminded them day and night. Jake also had a big heart for the homeless and generously gave his money. He absolutely loved shooting his A.R.22 and hanging with his buddies. He is survived by his mother, Debra Ann Wernowsky; sister, Makenna Raye Wernowsky; brother, Kole Chandler Wernowsky; grandparents, Charles and Marita Wernowsky & John and MaryAnn Leverock
