John Frey

John Thomas Frey, age 85, of Austell, Georgia passed away Monday, July 27, 2020. A Private Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, August 3, 2020 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Rev. Richard Wilkins officiating. Interment will follow at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park in Marietta.

A native of Paulding County, Mr. Frey lived most of his life in Cobb County. He was a veteran of the United States Army and had retired from General Motors after over 25 years of employment. He was also one of the founding members of Cheatham Hill Baptist Church, and a current member of Hollydale Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon at both. He was lovingly known as a "Jack of all Trades." Mr. Frey was a dedicated and loving husband, father and grandfather, and loved doing things for and helping his family and friends.

Survivors include: Wife of 65 years, Jacqulyn Frey; 2 Daughters, Cindy Stevens, Austell, GA and Tammy (Tim) Welch, Marietta, GA; Sister, Christine Palmer, Dallas, GA; Brother, Jimmy Frey, Dallas, GA; 4 Grandchildren, Courtney Patrick, Christopher (Haley) Welch, Jonathan (Kathleen) Welch and Chris Stevens; 6 Great Grandchildren, Amya Blair, Callahan Welch, Isaiah Daniel, Mac Welch, Raleigh Welch and Brycen Daniel
