Joel Andrew Worthington, 49, of Marietta, passed away on Friday, December 21, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Thursday, December 27, 2012, in the Chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory, 2480 Macland Road in Marietta with Rev. Larry Ritch officiating. Interment will follow at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park.
A life-long resident of Marietta, Mr. Worthington was an electrician and the former owner of J.A.W. Electric. He was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Worthington was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mildred Worthington. Survivors include his children, Drew and Brandon Worthington of Powder Springs; former spouse, Debbie Wilbanks Worthington; siblings, Sheryl Campbell of Blue Ridge, James Thomas “Tommy” Worthington of Aragon, Don Worthington of Austell and Cindy Haradon of Ball Ground.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm.
