Joe Driver

On Thursday, November 29, 2018, Joe Haley Driver (Captain, USMC (RET)), 75, of Powder Springs, GA passed away. Joe was born in Dewey Rose, GA. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle. Joe was recently retired after 21 years of service supporting the C-130J program at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company in Marietta, GA. Joe proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and retired after 20 years of service with multiple tours stationed in Beaufort, South Carolina, which he thought of as his second home. He was a combat veteran of the Vietnam War where he served three tours of duty. He is preceded in death by loving wife of 54 years, Barbara G. Cartee Driver. He is survived by his two sons, Timothy (Shelley) and Mark (Arlene) Driver and four grandchildren (Zachary Driver, Caroline Driver, Jeremy Driver and Connell Driver).

There will be no visitation. Interment will be held graveside at Pine Level Methodist Church in Prattville, Alabama at 10:00 a.m. on December 29, 2018 and with full military honors in the Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort, South Carolina at 10:00 a.m., on March 18, 2019.
