Joe Mell Alexander, Jr.

Joe Mell Alexander, Jr., age 75, of Powder Springs, Georgia passed away April 23, 2021. Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel in Marietta, GA. Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his father Joe Mell Alexander, Sr., his mother, Louise Denmark and his sister, June Price.

Joe was a native of Austell, GA spending most of his life in the Cobb County area. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. He loved wood working, yard work, reading, poetry, traveling with his sisters and spending time with his family.

Survivors include: son: David Ryan Alexander of Powder Springs, GA; daughter: Lori DeAnn (Jonathan) Frith of Waco, GA; three grandchildren: Hannah Elizabeth Frith, Samuel Hunter Frith and Lane Riley Alexander; three sisters: Libby (Walt) Carter of Seneca, SC, Ann (Richard) Boone of Powder Springs, GA and Pam (Robert) Cardone of Scottsdale, AZ and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, GA.
