JoanMarie Esther Tummings

JoanMarie Esther Tummings, age 50, of Powder Springs, Georgia passed away at her residence on Wednesday, May 8, 2019. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, May 17, 2019 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Smyrna, GA. The family will receive friends at the church Friday morning from 8:30am until 9:45am.

JoanMarie was born March 27, 1969 in Kingston, Jamaica to her surviving parents, John H. Tummings and Sonia M Tummings. She grew up in Freeport, Long Island, NY and worked in many positions, most recently as a Senior Analyst at Home Depot for over 26 years.

She enjoyed supporting the community through her church and was an active member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. She also enjoyed and spent much her her time on home improvement projects, baking, and exploring new desert options for others to enjoy. She was a private person, but loved in a special way. We will miss her warm smile.

Survivors include: Sister, Elisia R. Tummings; Brother, Lloyd H. Tummings; Niece, Yvonne Francois; Nephews, Parris Francois, Dustin Tummings and Tristan Tummings; 12 Aunts and Uncles, and dozens of Cousins.
