Joan Griffin

Joan Griffin, age 82, of Clarkdale, Georgia passed away Thursday, May 23, 2019. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Rev. Cindy Conner officiating. Interment will follow at Powder Springs Memorial Gardens.

A lifelong resident of Clarkdale, Mrs. Griffin retired as a bookkeeper after working for over 40 years with Pittsburgh Paint and Glass Company and Harrison Glass Company. She was a longtime member of Clarkdale United Methodist Church, where she was active with the UMW, and she enjoyed volunteering at the Sweetwater Valley Camp. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lynn Griffin, parents, Joe and Ola Sanford, and a brother, Lee Sanford.

Survivors: 2 children, Alan (Gina) Griffin, Marietta, GA and Corrine Griffin (Tim) Weaver, Marietta, GA; brother, Bill (Mary) Sanford, Marietta, GA; 3 grandchildren, Destiny Griffin, Brandon Weaver and Jordan Weaver Weston; 3 great grandchildren, Blair, Lorelei and Levi Weaver.
