Jimmy Wade Johnson, age 60, of Marietta, passed away on Monday, October 29, 2012. A funeral service will be held at 4pm on Thursday, November 1, 2012, in the Chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Doyle Wheeling officiating.
A life-long resident of Cobb County, Mr. Johnson worked as a metal fabricator with G&M Metal. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Johnson; children, William Gibson of Marietta, Tara Gibson of Hiram, Jamie Blackwell of Acworth, Vanessa Owens of Cartersville and Chris Blackwell of Acworth; brothers, Lester Johnson of Acworth and Kenneth Dodd of Jackson; grandchildren, Kerrie Frey, Daniel Sparks and Jennifer Sparks and great-grandchildren, Kinleigh Farmer, Justin Farmer and Kinsley Sparks.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 31, 2012, from 5pm-8pm.
