Jill Carolyn Corona Myers, 70, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 8, 2024.
She was born in Atlanta, Ga. on January 2, 1954 to Johnnie Corona Davis and the late James Corona.
Her greatest joys were sand between her toes, lighthouses, sunrises on the beach, photography, sending Hallmark cards to family and friends but most of all it was being a Grandma and spoiling her grandkids.
Jill and her husband, Jim, were set to celebrate their 41st wedding anniversary on February 14. Love for her family was the cornerstone of her life and she will be remembered for her caring and compassionate nature to all those she encountered.
Jill worked 32 years for the Cobb County School System, primarily in food service at various elementary schools in the county before retiring in 2019.
Her smile and laugh will be missed as she is survived by her husband, Jim, her son, Stephen Boggs and her daughter, Melissa Gilliland, and her five grandchildren, Brady Boggs, Natalie Boggs, Ryan Boggs, Megan Boggs, and Robert Gilliland, along with her mother, Johnnie Davis, two brothers, Jimmy and Jamey Corona, and her two sisters, Judy Wallace and Joanna Noonan, and her cousin, Happy Terrebonne.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Collins Memorial United Methodist Church at 2220 Bolton Rd. NW in Atlanta on Sunday, January 28 at 1:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at St. Jude -- Jill Myers Memorial Fund.
