Jerry Mitchell Meers

Jerry Mitchell Meers, age 83, of Marietta, Georgia passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2025. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, Georgia with Rev. Brandon Nichols and Rev. Bill Rorie officiating. Interment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta.

Born in Dial, GA, Mr. Meers grew up in and was a native of Cobb County. He graduated from McEachern High School. Afterwards, he worked for Delta Airlines for over 40 years, retiring as an Assistant Manager of Consumer Affairs Baggage. He was a member of Mercy Hill Church (formerly Mt. Calvary Baptist Church), and enjoyed traveling with his wife and spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include: Wife of 40 years, Nancy L. Meers; 2 Daughters, Stacy Raven, Acworth, GA, and Trudy (Ron) Crider, Marietta, GA; Son, Grant Meers of Tennessee; Brother, David Terry "Butch" (Lou) Meers, Marietta, GA; 5 Grandchildren, Ben, Caleb, Chloe, Justice, and Sophie; 3 Great Grandchildren, Arizona, Giuliana, and Judah.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, Georgia.
