Jeanette Skinner Holmes

Jeanette Skinner Holmes, age 80, of Powder Springs, GA passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2015. Funeral Services will be held at 2pm on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Rev. Bob Wardlaw and Rev. Don Rackley officiating. Interment will follow at Riverview Memorial Park in Smyrna.

Born in Gadsden, AL, Mrs. Holmes lived most of her life in the Atlanta-metropolitan area. She had previously worked as an EKG Technician at Cobb General Hospital, and enjoyed donating time at a senior center. She was a member of Concord Baptist Church in Paulding County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Jack Edward Holmes, and her 2 sons, Joseph Daniel and Michael Dwayne Holmes.

Phillip Anthony “Tony” Holmes and wife Wanda, Powder Springs, GA

2 Sisters: Norma Delores Harrison and Virginia Carden

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to assist the family with funeral expenses. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5pm until 8pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta.
