Jared Phillip McGriff

Jared Phillip McGriff, age 30 of Kennesaw GA, passed away on Friday, April 10th, 2015. He will be remembered on Saturday, April 18th at 10:00 a.m. with a Life Celebration Service at Fortified Hills Baptist Church, 4705 East Paulding Dr. Dallas, GA. Rev. Lee Brown will be officiating the service.
Jared is survived by his parents, Douglas and Barbara McGriff of Kennesaw, GA. He is also survived by his two brothers and a niece: Brian McGriff & fiancée, Aileen Atwood of Kennesaw, GA and Alex McGriff & wife, Tiffany of Dallas, GA who have a daughter Alessia.
He is also survived by paternal grandparents, Fred & Calista McGriff of Marietta, GA. He is preceded in death by maternal grandparents, James C. & Beulah (“Boots”) Hill of Spartanburg, SC. He also had many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A native of Cobb County, Jared graduated from Harrison High School in 2002. He enjoyed working at The Devereux Center in Kennesaw and most recently worked at Domino’s Pizza in Powder Springs. Jared was considered by everyone that knew him as "a big Teddy Bear". He was loyal, loving, and compassionate to everyone he met. He made people feel special and like family, no matter where he was. His hobbies included disk golf, video games, and poker. He was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed by both family and friends.
