Janis Martha Davis

Janis Martha Davis, age 70, of Powder Springs, Georgia passed away July 11, 2023. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, July 24, 2023 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel in Marietta, Georgia.

Janis Martha Davis was born September 12, 1952 to Jack and Jessie Oliver. Janis lived her life full of love and with an entrepreneur spirit. Over her years she shifted from a factory worker, to owning her own bar in New England, she also was a cook on a swordfish and lobster ship traveling the eastern shores, she managed a fish market in Jacksonville Florida which then led her to her final career as a regional Office Manager till she retired. After retirement she began to pursue her true passion and started LLL Embroidery a well-known name for embroidered towels in the state of Georgia all while living her life with her two best friends her grandsons.

Janis left this life peacefully in the early hours of July 11, 2023. She was surrounded by the love from her daughter Jessica and “her” Timothy.

She is preceded in death by her parents Jack and Jessie Oliver, several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins of the Oliver family.

She is survived by her children Timothy and Jessica Mauldin, their children Timothy and Jo Mauldin, and their nephews Timothy (Kelly) Parks and Henry Davis.
She also leaves behind:
Her Sister Jackie (Carl) Almeida, their children Shannon (Janis’s Twin) Almeida and her daughter Hailey, Shawn Almeida and his daughter Tayla.
Her Brother Jim (Patty) Oliver, their daughter Janelle.
Her Brother Jeff (Andrea) Oliver, their children Jennifer (Josh) St Germain and their children Riley, Logan, Carter and Wila, Jared (Lori) Oliver and their son Wyatt.
Her dear friends and craft show family.

The family will receive friends on Monday, July 24, 2023 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, Georgia.
