At the age of 53, Janet Boling Teague, of Atlanta, GA, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, April 18, 2014, following a battle with cancer and an infection her body could not defeat. She is survived by her husband, L. Barry Teague; her parents, Clenton and Wilma Boling; her siblings, Judy Marshall, Steve Boling, Jim Boling, and Mary Ann Gore; her children, Alyson Taylor and Nick Casey; her son-in-law Matthew Taylor; her stepdaughters, Terri Frazier and Catherine Teague; her stepsons Ben and Matthew Teague; her daughter-in-law, Jessica Teague and four grandchildren, Olivia, Theodore, Watson, and Henry Teague.
The third of five children, Janet was born March 10, 1961, in Marietta, Georgia. She was known for her servant heart, her eye for the perfect camera shot, and her love for children. Janet spent the majority of her adult life as a full-time mother of Alyson and Nick and a part-time photographer alongside her first husband, Alan. In her free time, she could always be found at Bible Study Fellowship, where she was a leader for several decades and is still known far and wide as Ms. Janet. Her time at BSF was a perfect marriage of her loves for Scripture and children, and the magnitude of impact she had on lives there will never be fully known.
When around Janet, one could always count on a smile and could never pry out a single word of complaint. Her joyful attitude and servant heart were anchored by a thriving relationship with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and were never more clearly displayed than as she cared for Alan during his own fight with illness that ended in 2010.
Most recently, Janet’s joyful spirit and servant heart have been shared with Walton Communities as she worked there as a leasing consultant until her marriage to Barry Teague. She was embraced fully by the Teague family who quickly came to know and love Janet as sister, mother, and Mimi. All who knew Janet had the opportunity to witness her love for Christ, as it was displayed so clearly in her “inexpressible joy filled with glory.” (I Peter 1:8) In light of this truth, all rejoice that she is now able to see Him face to face, knowing Him fully.
“Every experience God gives us, every person He puts in our lives, is the perfect preparation for the future that only HE can see.” Corrie Ten Boom
