James Franklin “Frank” Williams, age 84, of Marietta, GA passed away on Monday, October 31, 2011. Funeral Services will be held at 2pm on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at Macland Baptist Church with Dr. Richard Walker officiating. Interment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta, GA. He will lie in state at the church 1 hour prior to the service.
Born in South Carolina, Mr. Williams moved to Marietta in 1951. At 17 years old, he joined the United States Army and served as a Paratrooper in the 11th Airborn during WWII. Afterwards, he worked at Lockheed in Marietta until retirement. He was a member of the VFW, the Gold Wing Road Riders, and of Macland Baptist Church. Mr. Williams also served as a deacon, was a founding member of Eastside Baptist Church, and he enjoyed bowling and dancing.

3 Great Grandchildren: Mason Williams, Hayden Williams and Taylor Nichols
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 2pm until 4pm and 6pm until 8pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta.
