Larry was a native of Rome, Georgia. He and his wife Linda moved to Powder Springs in 1966. Larry retired in 2001 from Coca-Cola Enterprises after 38 years. If he was not at work, he could be found on a ball field. He started coaching in 1964 and coached all his children until 1986. After coaching, he umpired softball for 20 years at Lost Mountain Park and Powder Springs Park.
Larry loved the Lord and faithfully followed Jesus Christ for 66 years. He lived a very full and very blessed life. To him, family was everything - he deeply loved his wife, kids, and grandchildren. His family meant the world to him, and he is going to be deeply missed by those who loved him.
Larry is survived by his wife of 58 years, Linda Walker, their three children: Marc and Denise Walker, Scott and Carol Walker, and Noelle and Chris Huff, his nine grandchildren: Zachary and Shelby Walker, Abbey Walker, Madisyn and Nathan DeBoer, Kinsey Huff, Sophie Huff, Emma Walker, and Malley Huff.
