James H. Pope, age 65, of Marietta, Georgia passed away August 24, 2017. A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel in Marietta with Rev. Zeta Lamberson officiating.
James was a native and lifelong resident of Cobb County. James was a member of Macland Presbyterian Church and he loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include: wife of 29 years: Marguerite "Maggi" Pope of Marietta; son: James DuPre Pope of Smyrna; one brother: George (Debbie) Pope of Powder Springs; two sisters: Jane Ellen (Eddie) Varner and Beebe Sowar both of Powder Springs and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital @ www.stjude.org/Donate . The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta.
