Rev. James W. Moore, 70, of Mableton, GA passed away on October 17, 2012. He was born in Wadley, Georgia on November 3, 1941. James was a devout Christian and dedicated his life to his faith, his family, his friends and to those in need. He was a former associate pastor of Word of Life Baptist Church in Smyrna, GA., former pastor of Northside Baptist Church in Dallas, GA., and former pastor of Eastland Heights Baptist Church in Marietta, GA. He retired from his HVAC business, Moore’s Heating and Air, earlier this year. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Glenda; one son, Tony Moore (Anita Moore) of McDonough, GA; his daughter, Jamie Moore of Rockmart, GA.; his grandchildren, Jimmy Moore of McDonough and Allie Pierce of Rockmart; his brothers, Rick Moore of Wadley, GA and Tim Moore of Rainbow City, AL; his sister, Debra Adams of Vidalia; and his brother and sister in heart and in Christ, Tommy and Glenda Seay of Blairsville, GA. He is preceded in death by his son, James William Moore Jr.; his parents, James Layton Moore Jr. and Jeanette Moore of Wadley, GA.; his sisters, Norma Moore of Wadley, GA, Leniece Hickox of Patterson, GA and Barbara Powell of Wadley, GA, and his brother, Joe Moore of Wadley, GA. Funeral Services will be held at 10am Saturday, October 20, 2012 at West Cobb Funeral Home in Marietta. Interment will follow at Davisboro Cemetery in Davisboro, GA at 4pm.
