James Edward Meadows

James Edward Meadows, age 83, of Acworth, Georgia passed away Saturday, September 5, 2020. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta. Interment will follow at Powder Springs Cemetery.

Born in Powder Springs, Mr. Meadows lived in Chicago for 10 years before moving back to Cobb County. After serving in the Air National Guard, he worked at Lockheed for 10 years. Afterwards, he worked at the American Can Company for 36 years before retiring. He was a founding member of the Push Rods Car Club, and enjoyed playing golf. Mr. Meadows was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Edward and Ada Corine Meadows, his son, Eddie, step daughter, Erin, twin brother, Jimmie, and brothers, Marvin and Raymond.

Survivors include: wife of 39 years, Pat Meadows; step daughter, Julia O'Neal, Murphy, NC; beloved grandchildren, Danny, Alex, Samantha and Jacob; and many other loving extended family.
