James Clay Gazaway, age 93, of Powder Springs, Georgia passed away October 26, 2018. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 29, 2018 in the Chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home with Rev. Lee Lawrence officiating. Interment will follow at Post Oak Baptist Church in Powder Springs, Georgia.
A native of Forsyth County, Mr. Gazaway was retired from Super Foods where he worked as a Marketing Manager and was formerly employed with Big Apple and Kroger. He was a current member and deacon of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and was a former deacon and choir member at Post Oak Baptist Church in Powder Springs, Calvary Baptist Church in Rockmart, Bible Way Baptist Church in Powder Springs and Maranatha Baptist Church in Hiram.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Mae Gazaway and his son, Leonard Howell Gazaway. He is survived by daughter, Brenda Winters of Powder Springs; brother, Clifton Gazaway of South Carolina; grandchildren, Amy Crist, Bruce Winters and Jamey Winters; and Great Grandchildren, Maribeth Carson, Tanner Carson, Anna Winters, Brady Winters and Grace Winters.
