Bro. James Robert "Bob" Freeman, age 83, of Powder Springs, Georgia passed away Sunday, July 29, 2018. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Floyd Road Baptist Church in Austell with Rev. Keith Collins and Rev. Jeremy Kilgore officiating. Interment will follow at Paulding Memorial Gardens in Hiram, Georgia. He will lie in state at the church 1 hour prior to the ceremony.
Born in Cullman, Alabama, Bro. Freeman lived most of his life in the Atlanta metropolitan area. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in the Korean War, and worked as a milk deliveryman for Sealtest Dairy in Atlanta for many years. He was also a Baptist Minister, and pastored and preached at many churches, including Revival Baptist in Hiram, Macedonia Baptist, Dallas, GA, Bible Baptist in Douglasville, Westside Baptist in Marietta, Banner Baptist in Lithia Springs, and Floyd Road Baptist Church in Austell for the past 20 years.
