James Samuel Dunn, Jr.

James Samuel Dunn, age 68, of Mableton, Georgia went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 4, 2024. Funeral Service will be held at 2:30 pm on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at Living Stone Church in Marietta, GA with Rev. Grant Cole and Pastor Phillip Medlin officiating. Interment will follow at Mableton Memorial Gardens in Mableton, Georgia.

James was a native and lifelong resident of Mableton, Georgia. He retired from the Cobb County School Board, he was supervisor of transportation. James was a founding member and Elder of Living Stone Church in Marietta, GA. He loved working on race cars, dirt track racing, Nascar, coaching little league, reading his Bible and especially loved spending time with family.

Survivors include: wife of 45 years Barbara "Babs" Dunn of Mableton, GA; two sons: F. Bryan Dunn and Chris Dunn both of Mableton, GA; mother: Floris Dunn of Mableton, GA; sister: Bonnie Chandler of Mableton, GA.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 10, 2024 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, Georgia and Saturday, May 11, 2024 from 1:30 pm until 2:30 pm at Living Stone Church in Marietta, GA.
