James E. Dotson, age 82, of Acworth, GA passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2012. Memorial Services will be held 11:30a.m. Monday, January 30, 2012 in the Chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home & Crematory with Bishop Jim Bolin and Pastor Jason Bolin officiating. A native of Summerville, GA, Mr. Dotson lived in the Atlanta, Cobb County, and Paulding area for most of his life and was retired from CSX Railroad. He had a great love of music and was the former Choir Director at Mableton Church of God for 25 years and the Riverside Church of God for several years. He was a former member of the Homeland Harmony and Leroy Abernathy Quartet and was a member of Trinity Chapel Church of God. He is survived by his wife, Katrina E. Dotson; Children, Joan Evans and husband, Larry of Powder Springs, Deborah Jacobs and husband Buddy of Hiram, Robin Bolin and husband, Jim and Brian W. Dotson of Douglasville, GA.; Brother, Franklin D. Dotson and wife, Sue of Carrollton; Grandchildren, Jerry Evans and wife, Stephanie, Todd “Preston” Evans and wife, Michele, Deanna Evans Berry and husband John, Jason Bolin and wife Sarah, Jessica Bolin Jones and husband, Jared, Katrina Little and husband, Joey, Jack Post and James Post and wife Ruby; Great Grandchildren, Justin Evans, Jacob Evans, Avery Evans, Madeline “Maddie” Redmer, Ruthie Evans, Preston Evans, Bailey Berry, Joshua Little, Gabrielle “Gabbie” Post, Peyton Post, Jay Bolin, Caroline Bolin, Berkleigh Jones, and Jocelyn Jones.
