James Elton Daniel

James Elton Daniel, age 86, of Dallas, Georgia passed away December 11, 2017. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel in Marietta with Rev. Scotty Davis and Rev. Lee Mabry officiating. Interment will follow at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park in Marietta, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents H.D. and Autna Daniel and two brothers.

Mr. Daniel was a native of Blue Bayou, Arkansas who spent many years in Cobb County before moving to Paulding County twelve years ago. He was a member and Deacon at Macland Baptist Church. He worked at Lockheed and retired from Cobb County Property Management where he worked from 1974-1994. He served in the United States Air Force for eleven years and the United States Navy Reserves for nineteen years for a total of thirty years in serving his Country. He was also a Master Mason for more than sixty years.

Survivors include: wife of 67 years: Nell Daniel of Dallas; three children: Shelia (Gene) Wigley of Dallas, Bruce (Dawna) Daniel of Avondale Estates and Sabrina (Eric) Christian of Kennesaw; one sister: Bonnie Garth of Loving, TX; five grandchildren: Kristin (Chris) Moulder, Wesley Christian , Lauren Christian, Zoe Daniel and Eddie Daniel; two great-grandchildren: Emma and Kate Moulder.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 17, 2017 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta.
