James Danas

James Paul Danas, age 78, of Marietta, Georgia passed away October 25, 2018. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, November 2, 2018 at Bethany United Methodist Church in Smyrna with Rev. Chip Wilson and Rev. Terry Phillips officiating. Interment will be held at a later date.

Mr. Danas was a native of Pennsylvania and spent the last 12 years in Marietta, GA. Mr. Danas was a Staff Sergeant in the United States Army. He was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church in Smyrna where he loved to sing in the choir. He loved to play golf, go fishing, watch Braves baseball games and traveling with his loving family and friends.

Survivors include: wife of 52 years Brenda Danas of Marietta, GA, Diane Denise Danley of Dawsonville, GA and Dave (Danielle) Danas of Marietta, GA; two grandchildren: Abigail and Kaitlyn Danas; brother: Nick Danas of SC; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in James Danas' memory to Bethany United Methodist Church in Smyrna and Wellstar Community Hospice at Cobb.
