Jackson J.B. Stokes

Jackson Barnett “J.B.” Stokes, age 82, of Douglasville, GA passed away Friday, June 24, 2011. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 28th at 1 pm in the Chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Rev. Brian Alexander officiating. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta.

A native of Atlanta, Mr. Stokes had lived in Paulding County for the past 11 years. He retired from Southern Bell after over 40 years of employment, and was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served during WWII. He was an avid hunter, and belonged to the Ridge Road Hunting Club, and he attended Sweetwater Baptist Church.
