Jackie Lee "Jack" Meeks Sr.

Jackie Lee “Jack” Meeks, Sr., age 67, of Marietta, GA passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2013. Funeral Services will be held at 3pm on Sunday, September 15, 2013 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Rev. Terry Meeks officiating.
A native of Thomaston, GA, Mr. Meeks had worked at Beaudry Ford in Atlanta as a salesman for many years before working at Wade Ford in Smyrna for the past 12 years. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, and was a member of Valley Grove Baptist Church in Thomaston. Mr. Meeks was an avid golfer and enjoyed studying history, and loved spending time with his family and was a great friend to many.
Survivors include: Wife, Judy Johns Meeks, Marietta, GA; 5 Children, Jackie Lee (Renee) Meeks, Jr., Cumming, GA, Gregory Paul (Tammy) Meeks, Cumming, GA, Jill Hughes, David Johns and Justin Johns, all of Marietta, GA; 2 Brothers, Rev. Terry (Pat) Meeks, Hartwell, GA and Dale Meeks, Athens, GA; 9 Grandchildren, Trevor Meeks, Victoria Meeks, Hadley Meeks, Sarah Hughes, Jackie Meeks III, Tiffany Meeks, Bowen Meeks, Joseph Johns and Lily Johns.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1pm until 3pm at the funeral home. Online guestbook @ www.westcobbfuneralhome.com
