Jack M. Welsh

Jack Marion Welsh, age 85, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Monday, August 3, 2020. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, August 7, 2020 at Floyd Road Baptist Church in Austell with Pastor Keith Collins officiating. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Smyrna.

A native of Panama City, FL, Mr. Welsh was a veteran of the United States Army. He owned and operated J and S Sales and Service with his wife, Shirley, and his son Steve for many years. He was a faithful and longtime member of Floyd Road Baptist Church in Austell where he was affectionately known as the "Candy Man" to many children. He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley in 2003.

Survivors include: Daughter, Wanda (Robert) Durrell, Douglasville, GA, Son, Steve (Valerie) Welsh, Bastrop, TX, Daughter, Teena (Tim) Nealey, Lynn Haven, FL; 3 Brothers, 2 Sisters, 5 Grandchildren, 3 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great-Great Grandchild, and many Nieces and Nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jack Welsh's memory to the American Diabetes Association. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 7, 2020 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Floyd Road Baptist Church in Austell. Online guest book at www.westcobbfuneralhome.com .
