Jack Sherrer Glass

Jack Glass, 79, of Austell, GA passed away 1 January 2015. He was loving, opinionated, principled and loved to debate and travel, and will be dearly missed. An Air Force veteran, retired after 40 years at Lockheed as a safety hygenist, and a former state HS football official, Jack is survived by his wife of 56 years, Gail (Hawver) Glass formerly of Topeka KS; children Brian Jay, Vicky and Coby Glass; grandchildren James, David, Rania, Kevin, and Zaria Glass; and brother Charles W. Glass Jr. and sister Nancy Charlene (Glass) Rhea. Jack was predeceased by his parents, Charles W. Glass Sr. and Christine (Robinson) Glass, and a brother Frank D. Glass of Atlanta.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday 7 January at noon at West Cobb Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Tom Gray officiating. Before the service, family will receive friends Tuesday from 10am – noon at West Cobb Funeral Home. An interment service will follow at 2:30pm at the US National Cemetery in Canton.
