Mrs. Ida L. Thomas, age 87, of Powder Springs passed away, Friday, April 4, 2014. Funeral Services will be held at 5 pm on Sunday, April 6 in the Chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory, Marietta with Pastor Harry Valdez and Brother Voin Calhoun officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3 pm until the Service. Interment will follow at 11 am on Tuesday, April 8 at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton.
Mrs. Thomas was a homemaker and lived in the Cobb County area her entire life. She was devoted to her family and will be missed greatly.
Survivors include her loving husband, Henry L. Thomas; 2 children: Margaret Ann Valdez and husband, Harry of Marietta and James L. Thomas of Powder Springs; 2 sisters: Joyce Greene of Fayetteville and Bessie Faye Bennett and husband, C.W. of Lithia Springs; 5 grandchildren: Andrea, Harry Herbert, Jr., Amy, James L. Jr., Amanda Marie and great-grandchildren: Sarah, Aubree, Elizabeth and Henry.
