Hope Bartlett Castellaw

July 5, 1942 — December 19, 2024

Hope B. Castellaw, a devoted mother, sister, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2024, at the age of 82. Born on July 5, 1942, in Atlanta, Georgia, Hope lived a life rich in love and service, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to inspire those who knew her.

In 1983, Hope relocated to Marietta, Georgia, from Winter Haven, Florida, a move that would mark the beginning of a new chapter in her life. She dedicated her career to serving as an Executive Administrative Assistant, first with the Ricoh Corporation for 15 years and later at S.P. Richards for 9 years. Her commitment to excellence and her warm spirit made her an invaluable asset to her colleagues.

Hope was not only known for her professional accomplishments but also for her profound love of family and community. She was a passionate reader, enjoyed gardening, and found joy in writing thoughtful cards of encouragement. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were a source of great delight, and she loved reading stories to them, nurturing their imaginations and enriching their lives with her wisdom.

A faithful member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Hiram, Hope devoted over 20 years to serving at the First Baptist Church of Woodstock's Cancer Support Ministry. Her compassion and dedication made a meaningful difference in the lives of many, embodying her belief in the power of love and support during difficult times.

Hope leaves behind her four loving daughters: Melinda (Curt) Brown, Hiram, GA, Melanie Smith, Lakeland, FL, Marcia (Russ) Todd, Canton, GA, and Misty Levasseur, Powder Springs, GA, as well as her beloved sister, Deborah (Jimmy) Wood, Jacksonville, FL, 7 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren. They, along with countless friends and community members, will remember her for her kindness, her unwavering support, and her ability to make everyone feel special.

In honor of Hope's life and legacy, a memorial service will be held on December 23, 2024, at 3:00 PM at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 3454 Jimmy Lee Smith Pkwy, Hiram, GA 30141, with Pastor Derek Berry officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm prior to the ceremony and celebrate a life well-lived, filled with love, laughter, and selfless service.
