Herman A. Jenkins

Mr. Herman Albert “Heavy” Jenkins, age 97, of Marietta, GA passed away Saturday, May 20, 2017. A Memorial Service will be held at 1pm on Monday, May 22nd at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Rev. Mike Woods officiating.
Born in Cedartown, GA, Mr. Jenkins had lived in Marietta, GA since the 1950’s. He retired from Lockheed after many years of employment, and was a veteran of the United States Army. He received an Honorary Master’s Degree in Military Art from Cumberland University in Tennessee, and enjoyed being a Field and Sideline Official for the GHSA and the Atlanta Falcons. He attended the First Baptist Church of Powder Springs, GA, and was preceded in death by his wife, Ila Jo Jenkins, in 2009.

4 Great Grandchildren: Cody Summerville, Emily Summerville, Addie Andrews and Luke Andrews
Contributions may be made to Wellstar Community Hospice. The family will receive friends Sunday, May 21st from 2pm until 4pm at the funeral home.
