Helen V. Norman, age 76, of Powder Springs, Georgia passed away March 9, 2022.
Helen was born in Canton, Georgia, on March 10, 1945. She was the only child of J. T. and Ollie Mae Vaughn. She was an avid lover of Jesus, her family, and her country. She worked for many years as an antique buyer and owned several antique shops throughout her life. She also enjoyed gardening, playing Scrabble, and getting together with her friends.
Helen was very active in serving her community and was a member of the South Cobb Arts Alliance. In 2002, she received the Powder Springs Volunteer of the Year award. She was active with the Powder Springs Business Association and valued supporting local small businesses in the community.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Clark E. Norman. Survivors include her sons, Heath (Julie) Mulkey and Jason (Sharon) Mulkey, and grandsons, Jared, Harrison, Seth, and Connor. She also leaves behind her beloved dog, Buddy, and many cherished friends.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 13, 2022, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home in Marietta. Funeral Service will be officiated by Rev. Eddie Goodwin, and will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, March 14, 2022, at West Cobb Funeral Home Chapel in Marietta, Georgia. Interment will follow at Powder Springs Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Powder Springs, Georgia. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Calvary Children’s Home, 1430 Lost Mountain Road, Powder Springs, GA 30127.
