Harriett Rachel Pennington

Harriett Rachel Pennington, age 89, of Powder Springs, Georgia passed away Saturday, December 4, 2021. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, December 10, 2021 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Rev. Natalie King officiating. Interment will follow at Crest Lawn Memorial Park in Atlanta.

A native of Atlanta, Mrs. Pennington moved to Cobb County in 1965. She enjoyed embroidery and sewing, and made all her daughter's clothes as they grew up. She was a former member of Free Methodist Church in Atlanta. She was preceded in death by her husband, John William Pennington, in 2006.

Survivors include: 3 Daughters, Gail (Charles) Wessinger, Douglasville, GA, Gwen Pennington, Powder Springs, GA and Pam (Danny) Fisher, Fort Mill, SC; 2 Sisters, Betty (Dean) Avant, Newnan, GA and Nan Horton, Aloha, Oregon; 5 Grandchildren, Shane (Cassie) Williams, Dallas, GA, Wayne (Rebecca) Williams, Aldie, VA; Stephanie (Michael) Flanigan, Douglasville, GA, Valerie (Michael) Burnley, Canton, GA, and Alex Fisher, Fort Mill, SC; 5 Great Grandchildren, Grant (Katrina), Brooke, Emma, John, and Grace
