Harriett L. McQuillen

Harriett L. McQuillen, age 84, of Marietta passed away Sunday, April 23, 2017. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 28, 2017 in the Chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory with Reverend Ken Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Georgia Memorial Park in Marietta.

Mrs. McQuillen was the first female police officer hired by the Smyrna Police Department in 1958. She later worked for the Cobb County School District serving as the Transportation Driver Trainer, retiring after 20 + years. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Robert McQuillen who passed away in March of 1999. She is survived by her children, James (Holly) McQuillen, Dianne (Dave) Golden, Mike (Tracie) McQuillen, David (Debbie) McQuillen, Karen (Michael) Denham and Guy McQuillen; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday, April 27, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
